Some might find it a bit weird to be using a product originally made for stretchmarks on their faces but some don’t mind as long as it works. StriVectin has been originally formulated to treat stretchmarks but as soon as one found out that this stretchmark treatment can be effective in reducing wrinkles, StriVectin has gone from StriVectin stretchmark remover to StriVectin wrinkle remover.
According to clinical reports a key active ingredient in the StriVectin emulsion is an active ingredient oglio-peptide. Now, it may be too scientific sounding but it might be interesting to know that this ingredient was tried alongside with known wrinkle-reducing ingredients such as vitamin C, retinol and placebo to find out the degree of their effect against what is called crows’ feet.
The study went for four months where in the first two months subjects were to apply creams containing the aforementioned ingredients once a day and twice a day two months thereafter. Wrinkles were studied against depth, length, volume and skin roughness after the four-month study and have concluded significant improvement among subjects exposed to the peptide.
Apart from the scientific claims under StriVectin wrinkle cream’s belt it is the testimony of users that made StriVectin all the more confident that it is effective not only in treating stretchmarks but crows’ feet, wrinkles and other signs of skin aging as well.
